The general objectives of the programme
The objective of the program is to train such specialists that are able to analyze the activities of economic organizations and to solve their complex development tasks with the help of the up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge they acquired during their studies. Meanwhile, possessing high level theoretical and practical business development knowledge, master level business knowledge and consciously developed managerial skills, students graduating from this master programme are capable of performing the tasks of medium and high level managers at domestic and international actors of economy. The knowledge they acquire also makes them capable of continuing their studies at PhD level.

Managment and leadership (MA)

The general objectives of the programme
The objective of the Management and Leadership MSc Programme is to train specialists primarily for private businesses and public organisations who possess the necessary integrated professional skills in the field of management as well as the relevant skills of their chosen specialisation. With the knowledge and skills acquired, they will be able to analyse, plan and manage the operating processes of organisations both in the private and the public sectors with problem-recognition and –solving skills in a creative way of thinking. The knowledge gained during their masters studies will enable them to continue their studies within the framework of a PhD Programme.

Tourism management (MA)

The general objectives of the programme
The main goal of the Tourism Management MA programme is to train economists who possess all the necessary knowledge in economics, social sciences, management and methodology as well as their chosen specialisation. They are capable of fulfilling planning, managerial and coordinating tasks individually in the field of tourism, on local, regional, national and international levels, in private tourism businesses, multinational companies, national and local tourism administration and planning, and in the non-profit sector alike. In addition to this, They possess all the theoretical and research methodology knowledge necessary for continuing their studies in the frameworks of a PhD Programme.

BACHELOR PROGRAMMES (BA) IN ENGLISH

 

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT MAJOR (BA)

The aims of the course are:
to train economic experts having economics-, social theory-, applied economic science and methodology knowledge and professional skills and capable of planning, analysing processes of business organizations and institutions and also managing, organising business and entrepreneurial activities and processes. They have adequate knowledge to continue their studies in the second cycle of the education.

TOURISM – CATERING MAJOR (BA)

The aims of the course are:
to train economic experts having economic sciences-, social theory-, applied methodology knowledge and professional skills and are capable of implementing, managing and organising activities in the field of Tourism and Catering. They have adequate knowledge to continue their studies in the second cycle of the education.

COMMERCE AND MARKETING (BA)

The general objectives of the programme

The objective is to train such professionals with economic and business knowledge as well as a solid commercial and marketing background who are able to purchase and sell different products and services, organise and direct the commercial/marketing activity of small-and medium-sized enterprises and, last but not least, possess suitable skills to carry on with the second cycle of their higher education studies and continue on an MA course.

FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING (BA)

The general objectives of the programme

The objective is to train such economists who, while possessing economic, social, applied economic and methodological as well as professional knowledge are able to create and run the financial organisations of enterprises, financial and budgetary institutions, manage their accounting tasks, create and develop their accountancy policy, accomplish reporting requirements, create and run the system of cost control as well as analyse, evaluate and control the management. They have suitable skills to carry on with the second cycle of their higher education studies and continue on an MA course.

BUSINESS INFORMATICS MAJOR (BA)

The aims of the course are:
to train information specialists having thorough economic knowledge thus are able to create a communication bridge between programmers and players of economy, oversee operation and processes of business organizations, are capable of developing, implementing, testing and operating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other company information systems (VIR). A further objective for our students is to acquire adequate theoretical knowledge to continue their studies at MSc level.

Teacher of Economics – (entrepreneurial studies) MA

The aim of the program:
is the training of Teachers of Economics capable of forming the economic perspective and general level business and enterprise-related knowledge of participants in public education programs, in adult education, and in non-traditional programs. Furthermore, graduates of the program can teach both theoretical and practice-oriented subjects related to business along with becoming eligible for the performance of pedagogical research. Graduates of the program will acquire sufficient theoretical foundations to continue their studies at the doctoral PhD level.

The aims of the course are:
to train methodologically well-trained economic professionals having proficiency in Economic Sciences and appropriate professional- and general education, capable of analysing labour markets, fulfilling functions of human resource management, functioning its systems, tools and applying its up-to-date methods. Those graduating from Human Resources BA major are also competent in coordinating reconciliation processes at the workplace, solving organizational, analytical, planning and decision preparation tasks.
They have adequate knowledge to continue their studies in the second cycle of the education.

HIGHER - LEVEL VOCATIONAL TRAININGS (FOSZ) IN HUNGARIAN

 

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
HIGHER EDUCATION VOCATIONAL PROGRAMME

The aims of the course are the following:
to train economic professionals with a theoretical basis, thus being able to acquire practical knowledge. They are aware of the law regulating business activities, the most important financial conditions influencing the market adaptation of the business and the up-to-date process of corporate Human Resources, its planning, analytical and evaluative methods. They also know what measures to take concerning Human Resources. They are fully aware of the principles of wage and income management and its adaptable methods, the arising administration process, the course of the proceedings.

Those on Personnel specialisation are capable of taking part in the process of corporate staff management, know the necessary documents and their content for payroll accounting. They see properly the processes related to the personnel, have basic knowledge concerning the corporate industrial processes from the point of view of law.

Students on HR specialisation are able to take part in recruiting and performing selection tasks at job centres and companies. They know further training possibilities related to given positions and can participate in the organisation of training programmes and in performing general organisational tasks.

BUSINESS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
HIGHER EDUCATION VOCATIONAL PROGRAMME

The aims of the course are the following:

to train business information professionals being able to understand actual business proceedings, take part in solving problems hidden in these proceedings, under certain professional guidance, taking advantage of the modern ways in Information Technology, solving business informatics tasks, supporting their managing, applying business applications and inventory model approach backed up by information technology. They also possess adequate knowledge to be able to go on studying in the second cycle of the education.

HIGHER EDUCATION VOCATIONAL PROGRAMME

The aims of the course are the following:

To train professionals having the necessary theoretical knowledge, thus being able to acquire practical knowledge, solve case studies simulating the process of business practice. They also know the law regulating business activities, the most important financial terms and conditions of the market adaptation of the business, the basic principles and methods of ruling, organising and operating management proceedings. They are aware of financial, accounting and taxation bases of business financing, the methodology of analysing activities, the base of decision-preparation.
Those studying on Small and Medium –sized Enterprises specialisation, know the aim, role and significance of strategic and operative planning, the way of their composition and their practical implements; up-to-date organisational procedures, information and communication technologies and their practical use. They are also aware how to form and implement the marketing strategy, market attitude, business image and PR activities of Small and Medium- sized Enterprises.

TOURISM AND CATERING
HIGHER EDUCATION VOCATIONAL PROGRAMME

The aims of the course are the following:

to train professionals with good command of Business Language and practice in the field of Tourism and Catering enterprises. The graduates can establish and run both micro and Small -Enterprises in Tourism and Catering, can manage given departments of medium and large companies, perform certain office and assistance tasks helping the senior staff.
Students of Tourism specialisation can get acquainted with different fields of Tourism and are able to fulfil assistant and rapporteur tasks either individually or backed by senior staff.
